Christmas Celebration

We enjoyed seeing fourth-grade students dress up as characters from the Nativity story and listened to the Christmas story read aloud in German and English.  There was a string ensemble, composed of sev several students, that played well-known Austrian Christmas carols, followed by a whole school vocal performance of the song “Christmas makes me sing”.  After that there was a variety of creative, well-done performances by the second-grade classes. Their performances ranged from dance, songs and drama and displayed the enthusiasm and hard work that goes into putting on such a performance.  The 3rd-4th grade Music Club impressed us with their energy and rhythm and then the whole school sang “Silent Night” together in German.

We were excited that so many parents and family members turned out to attend our Christmas program and were thankful to the parents’ association for putting on a tea bar and the fourth-graders for baking Christmas cookies to raise money for their class trip at the end of the school year.  All in all, it was a memorable time as a school and a great way to get ready for Christmas.  A big thanks to all who put their time and energy into the program!
